Mossa performs at Roubaix

Dr Goh and Mossa outside the Tour of Flanders Museum

Dr Goh has just returned from a week in Flanders and Northern France, where he spent a week fulfilling a lifetime’s dream of riding the fabled cobbles of De Ronde and Paris Roubaix.  After finishing the sportive in Roubaix’s iconic velodrome last Saturday, Dr Goh sent us his thoughts on the Mossa he’d been putting through its paces during the week.

The Mossa is excellent. Nice fit. Not too long. Lighter than most. Performance very deceptive: if you’re standing around you’d be cold. With a hard effort the sweat generated and our own body heat seems to stay within the jersey. Kept me cosy even at 3-4 degrees. Nice roomy pockets. Rear crud flap that is not overly long. Great graphics especially the Italian Airforce roundel. Neck was high enough to keep out any draft.

It’s Lightweight, much lighter than Gabba/Rapha Shadow. Thinner material which is good. Works as advertised. Kept me warmer than the Gabba. The Rapha Shadow repelled the sweat, unlike the Mossa. On the Rapha, the sweat would work its way downwards and left unsightly sweat stains on your bibs. Mossa was superb in this aspect.
